about
Claire de Caluwe (She/Her) was born in Amsterdam, 1999. She started dancing ballet at the Dutch National Ballet in Amsterdam when she was younger and finished her pre dance education at Codarts, Rotterdam. She studied Urban Contemporary dance at the University of The Arts in Amsterdam and joined Dutch dance company: ‘The Scapino Ballet’ in Rotterdam (2020). Since 2021, she is working as a freelance dancer & model.
From 2023 onwards, Claire became part of the project-based dance company 'Nagelhus Schia Productions' in Norway. Here, she contributed to new creations and repertoire, including work from choreographers such as Sasha Walz, Hege Haagenhund and director Marit Moum Aune. Besides working with choreographers such as Ed Wubbe, Dalton Jansen and Joost Vrouenraets, she creates her own choreographic work together with Bo Jacobs. Her debut work ‘LIMP,’ in 2023.

to the audience?
Immersing myself in a pool of imagination and guiding the outside observer on this journey reignites my 'inner child' and sense of happiness, elements I believe are essential to nurture.
Dance is a channel for me to externalize whatever I gather: thoughts, desires, fears…
Art is a poetic translation of life. I get inspired by collaborations and projects that are a combination of interdisciplinary work. “
